Bayfields Digital is what we now trade as but originally the company was set up by and operated as Stephen Bayfield Electrical. Stephen set up in business on his own in 1976 after the company he had previously worked for in Framlingham closed down - he bought up their stock and one of their vans, and the rest, as they say, is history!
In the late 80's Stephen was joined by Sons Mat and, a bit later on, Chris who helped expand the services offered by the company, adding Satellite TV, computer and internet services to the portfolio.
These days the company is now owned and operated solely by Chris who, together with our excellent engineer Phil, continues to offer top class installation and repair services to our local customers from our base in Wickham Market. We cover a wide area Suffolk, with regular customers in Framlingham, Saxmundham, Leiston, Aldeburgh, Kesgrave, Grundisburgh and many other areas of the county.
We are the ONLY Confederation Of Aerial Industries approved based in the Woodbridge / Saxmundham areas.
By choosing us, your local CAI member installation company, to advise or complete the work you require, you are assured of competence and compliance. Other key benefits are that CAI members:
- Abide by and work to standards outlined in the CAI Codes of Practice and British Standards.
- Are continually re-assessed to ensure standards are maintained.
- guarantee all domestic (single dwelling home) installations for 12 months, which is backed by the CAI.
- Use quality tested equipment through the CAI Certification scheme for aerials and cable.
- Are fully insured, so you are protected.
- In the unlikely event you have any issues with a CAI member you also have access to their resolution service.

Last year we awarded 'Suffolk Trusted Trader' status - this is a new scheme launched by Suffolk County Council to endorse local business that have demostrated a commitment to providing top customer service and trustworthy business practises.

Following a rigorous assessment of our business, which checked into all areas of our operations, including customer service, health and safety, waste management and credit worthiness, we are pleased to say we passed with flying colours and were enrolled into the scheme in March 2022.

Licensed to carry waste...
Bayfields Digital are licensed as an upper tier waste carrier - this means that if, for example, we offer to take away a customer's old TV aerial that we have removed then we are legally allowed to carry that waste on our vehicles for disposal via our own facilities.
Our engineers are equipped with the latest 'state-of-the-art' TV reception test equipment
We have made the investment to equip our staff with industry leading professional signal analyzer equipment from Rover and Televes, to help us provide the very best ability to install new TV reception systems, measure radio signals, test WiFi and fibre optics.
When an installation is carried out by our team you can be assured that the results we are achieving are the very best they can be.
